Two Political Economy Analyses (PEAs) under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) supported Civil Society and Media (CSM) Activity in Nepal

Objectives: The overall goal of this project is to evaluate the political and economic aspects that drive school mergers and their effects on groups like girls, youth, and marginalized communities in the hilly areas of Lumbini Province. Specifically, the project aims to understand the influence of political interests, governance, and financial aspects on decision-making for school mergers. Additionally, the project will assess how the mergers affect education access, quality, and equity, and will identify potential entry points for creating a conducive environment that helps local governments develop evidence-based education policies.
