EOI - Nigeria - Environmental Consultant for the Preparation of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESIA/ESMP) for Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority - PIDACC/NB

Objectives: The objective of the consultancy services by the Consultant is to prepare an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment and Environmental and Social Management Plan (ESIA/ESMP) for Sokoto-Rima River Basin Development Authority. This includes identifying the political, legal, and institutional framework for project implementation, ensuring community consultations, establishing pre-project baseline conditions, characterizing the environment, identifying hazards, and potential impacts (both negative and positive). They are also tasked with recommending mitigation strategies for adverse effects, developing an ESMP, addressing community resettlement claims if needed, and providing data for an Environmental Impact Statement.
