Development of the innovation entrepreneurship ecosystem at SA Tech and TVETs

Objectives: The project's primary goal is to enhance innovation commercialisation at South African Technical and Vocational Education and Training Colleges (TVETs) through strategic interventions under the Higher Education Innovation Fund (HEIF). This initiative aims to foster a responsive innovation-entrepreneurship ecosystem, improve the employability of youth, and leverage technology and entrepreneurship to address unemployment, poverty, and inequality in South Africa. Through collaborations with industry and academia, the project seeks to align research and innovation with industry needs, enhance access to funding, and build a network of stakeholders to support the ecosystem.
