Canada, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) requires Architectural and Engineering (A&E) services for the Redevelopment Project for the Embassy of Canada to Ethiopia, in Addis Ababa. The A&E services will include the following services: Site Analysis, Concept Design, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, Tender, Construction Contract Administration, Commissioning and Post-Construction Services. The project is intended to be delivered through Design- Bid- Build approach.
The redevelopment of the compound includes the construction of a new, state-of-the-art Chancery, as well as integration of landscaping design into the overarching concept and demolition of the current Chancery on-site. It is anticipated that space requirement will be roughly 3,000m2 to accommodate 75
full time employees.
The Contractor will provide A&E services which will incorporate Canadian Code standards and provide required services to complete final documents to obtain any local construction permits and for construction. To fulfill this requirement, the Contractor may be required to engage or partner with either
local or Canadian firm (sub-Contract basis).
The estimated contract period will be 30 month(s).
A contracting officer can use limited tendering for specific reasons outlined in the applicable trade agreements. The reason for this contract is described below:
