Timor-Leste Flood Risk Reduction Capacity Development Project

Objectives: The project aims to enhance the flood risk reduction capacity in Timor-Leste by developing flood protection and river maintenance guidelines. The project targets the Ministry of Public Works, specifically the General Directorate of Roads, Bridges, Prevention and Flood Control (GDRBPFC), and seeks to strengthen the river management capabilities to contribute to flood disaster resilience in line with the Strategic National Development Plan (2011-2030) of Timor-Leste. By aligning with pre-disaster prevention strategies, the project supports climate change adaptation goals outlined in Timor-Leste’s Paris Agreement submissions.
