Quick summary

Objectives: This consultancy aims to collect relevant information in AU Member States and institutions on fish stocks in five AU regions, producing State of Fish Stocks reports for each region. The outputs will help AU Member States, Regional Economic Communities, and other AU institutions with development planning and critical reforms for better governance of oceans and inland waters, including sustainable fisheries development according to AU PFRS and AU Blue Economy Strategy. The results will provide evidence for scaling up fish stock assessments in the five regions and making recommendations for regular, differentiated regional stock assessments and broad management measures utilizing stock assessment information.
