Regional Coordinator-PPR Eradication (IGAD)

Objectives: The African Union Inter-African Bureau for Animal Resources (AU-IBAR) aims to strengthen its capacity to coordinate the eradication of Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR), a viral disease affecting small ruminants in Africa. The project seeks a Regional Coordinator for PPR Eradication at IGAD to work closely with the Pan African PPR Secretariat in Nairobi, Kenya, to implement technical programs, develop activity plans, oversee budgets, and strengthen national surveillance and laboratory capacities. The goal is to respond to transboundary diseases in Sub-Saharan Africa, particularly PPR, and to coordinate global eradication strategies at the regional and continental levels.
