Objectives: The objectives of this tender are to promote integrated municipal solid waste management in Constantine and poultry waste management in Sétif, transforming the waste value chain into a circular economy. This will deliver economic benefits by creating new economic sub-sectors, social benefits by creating green jobs and reducing public health risks, and environmental benefits by reducing carbon emissions and minimizing water and groundwater pollution. Moreover, the project seeks to develop a voluntary carbon market, establish institutional arrangements, develop a Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) system for greenhouse gas emissions, align project objectives with national GHG reduction goals, and build human and institutional capacities for carbon market implementation.
