TA-9716 REG: Supporting Ambitious Climate Action through Implementation of Developing Member Countries’ Nationally Determined Contributions (Subproject 1) - National Climate Change Specialist (IPPU) (52004-002)

Objectives: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is implementing a Technical Assistance (TA) cluster to support the implementation of Developing Member Countries' Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) as part of the Paris Agreement. The specific objectives are: Enhance capacities of DMCs in fulfilling climate commitments; Assist in refining NDCs into climate investment plans; Improve access to climate finance; Develop methods and approaches for establishing baselines and monitoring tools; Identify climate adaptation investment priorities. For the Philippines, this involves updating their NDC with enhanced climate action, ambition for mitigation, and improved Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) systems.
