Description

United Nations Educational, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) hereby invite qualified companies to develop innovative water solution designs, focusing on addressing regional water resilience challenges with the Youth of the Podocarpus – El Cóndor Biosphere Reserve in Ecuador within the implementation of the UNESCO-MAB Amazon project. The Challenge Water Challenge 2025 aims to find solutions to local issues raised by the youth of Podocarpus – El Cóndor Biosphere Reserve through their engagement into workshops, mentoring sessions with local and foreign professors and/or experts, and peer-to-peer knowledge exchanges, culminating in the participation of winning teams in a second phase of implementation of the winning activity(ies). The Contractor will be responsible for organizing and executing this initiative, ensuring its successful delivery through all its phases. The contractor will also be responsible for preparing regular progress reports, documenting the results of the challenge, and facilitating the implementation phase of the winning projects. Activities will include program design, participant selection, organizing workshops, facilitating mentoring sessions, coordinating peer-to-peer exchanges, and ensuring communication and visibility of the project through media and social platforms. The profile of consultants required includes experts in project management, water resilience, youth engagement, community capacity building, and environmental science. The challenge is expected to run from February to July 2025. Please refer to attached procurement notice.
