National Consultant - Environmental Policy Expert - BioFin

Objectives: The primary objective of the National Consultant-Environmental Policy Expert is to conduct a comprehensive Policy and Institutional Review (PIR) to identify major biodiversity-related policies, legal frameworks, and existing finance solutions in Bangladesh. This includes ensuring alignment with the latest version of the BIOFIN Workbook, providing initial inputs to develop the Biodiversity Finance Plan (BFP), including critical stakeholder analysis for the Biodiversity Expenditure Review (BER), and prioritization of policies in alignment with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The consultant will also contribute to the refinement of the BIOFIN methodological framework by offering detailed feedback, incorporating national priorities, and producing high-quality drafts and analyses for review by the Senior Finance Expert and BIOFIN Global Team. This effort is part of the Biodiversity Finance Programme (BioFin).
