INVITATION TO TENDER
INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE PROVISION OF DEDICATED HIGH-PERFORMANCE INTERNET SERVICES FOR THE EACJ SUB-REGISTRIES IN THE FOLLOWING PARTNER STATES; BURUNDI, KENYA, RWANDA, TANZANIA AND UGANDA FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2024/2025.

  1.  The East African Community (EAC) is a regional intergovernmental organisation comprised of the Republic of Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Federal Republic of Somalia, the Republic of Kenya, the Republic of Rwanda, Republic of South Sudan, the Republic of Uganda, and the United Republic of Tanzania. The Treaty for Establishment of the East African Community was signed on 30th November 1999 and entered into force on 7th July 2000.
  2. The East African Court of Justice (EACJ or the Court) was established under Article 9 of the Treaty for the establishment of the East African Community (the Treaty) as the judicial body of the Community, which is charged with ensuring the adherence to law in the interpretation and application of and compliance with the Treaty.
  3. The Court’s principal operations are located in Arusha Tanzania and the current jurisdiction is applicable to Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, and now Somalia with the possibility of more countries joining in the foreseeable future.
  4. The EACJ has been allocated funds in the Financial Year 2024-2025 and intends to apply part of the funds towards eligible payments under the contract for the Provision of Dedicated High Performance Internet Services for the EACJ Sub-Registries in Partner States.
  5. The EAC now invites bids from Eligible Bidders for the Provision of Dedicated High Performance Internet Services for the EACJ Sub-Registries in the following Partner States; Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda for the Financial Year 24/25.
  6. Bidding will be conducted through the Regional Competitive Bidding and is open to all eligible bidders using the Standard Biding Document.
  7. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information Monday to Friday during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours at the address below on or before 20th FEBRUARY, 2025 at 00 am East Africa time.
  8. The bidding will be conducted by submission through the EAC Electronic procurement system. Interested bidders will be required to register and submit/upload their bids through the EAC e-procurement system at http://eacprocurement.eac.int/. The system will reject any late bids. Bids will be publicly opened on the EAC e-procurement system. Bids will be addressed to:
