Objectives: This Request for Proposal aims to establish laboratory-scale operational parameters for the treatment of fluorinated AFFF foams. The consulting services will focus on the removal and concentration of fluorinated substances (PFOS, PFOA, and PFHxS) in foam concentrates and residues, assessing at least three available separation alternatives to determine optimal conditions for their efficient removal. The project aligns with broader efforts to manage industrial POPs in Colombia, under the Stockholm Convention guidelines, by developing viable treatment technologies for the eventual elimination of these substances.
