Objectives: The overall objective of this technical assignment is to develop a policy document to provide guidelines for mainstreaming climate change risks in PIDA projects across the continent and a compliance framework to national, regional and international climate and associated regulations and agreements. The consultant will ensure alignment of the guidelines with existing policy frameworks such as the continental policy on Smart and Climate Resilient Infrastructure in Africa. This includes identifying climate change risks and adaptation and mitigation opportunities relevant to infrastructure projects in Africa, particularly PIDA projects, and compiling these into a safeguard policy document.
