LOAN-4263 PNG: Improved Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Employment Project - CS18 National Procurement Officer (53083-001)

Objectives: The project, titled "Improved Technical and Vocational Education and Training for Employment Project," aims to reform the post-secondary sector in Papua New Guinea through the Higher and Technical Education Reform Act 2020. It seeks to establish a governance and management framework for Technical and Vocation Education and Training (TVET) colleges, increasing their independence and strengthening partnerships with industry and businesses. The project strengthens TVET institutions to align with labor market demands and the outputs include governance and management for TVET colleges, high-quality TVET teacher training, development of demand-driven curricula, establishment of gender-responsive infrastructure and equipment, and development of national TVET governance and industry linkages. It is loan-financed by the Asian Development Bank, Papua New Guinea’s government, and grant-funded by the Australian Government's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
