TA 59011-002 TAJ: Strengthening Social Protection System for Inclusive and Resilient Development - Social protection sector specialist and deputy team leader (National)

Objectives: The objective of the "Strengthening Social Protection System for Inclusive and Resilient Development" is to address the long-term development strategy's identification of the undeveloped institutional framework of the pension insurance as a key problem within the social protection system of Tajikistan. The initiative aims to support the transition to an insurance- and savings-based approach in pensions, improve the replacement ratio to international benchmarks, and prioritize digitalization of employment relations, social benefits, and pension systems. The project also seeks to strengthen the institutional framework and capacity of the Agency for Social Insurance and Pensions (ASIP), design and implement a national automated information system, and prepare due diligence and assessments for the proposed Modernizing Social Insurance System Project.
