NV Magnetometer for Earth Observation - Expro+

Objectives: Develop a high-sensitivity Nitrogen-Vacancy (NV) magnetometer for Earth observation to demonstrate the technology's competitiveness for future missions. Address challenges related to sensor integration, noise reduction, and long-term stability through requirement analysis, feasibility study, and detailed design. The activity includes system architecture, thermomechanical, electromagnetic and optical simulations, and circuit development to refine the magnetometer concept. Identify high-risk subsystems, perform breadboarding activities to mitigate uncertainties, and construct a fully integrated magnetometer for validation and calibration. Assess performance to reach Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 4, supporting future deployments.
