Recruitment Advocacy and Communications Officer

Objectives: The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) aims to promote economic cooperation and integration among its 15 member states, with an overarching goal of enhancing economic stability and improving living standards in the region. Guided by the ECOWAS Vision 2050, which aspires towards a peaceful, prosperous, and integrated community, the organization has devised an Integrated Regional Strategy for Human Capital Development (HCD). Supported by funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, this strategy emphasizes health and nutrition, education and skills, and entrepreneurship. An Advocacy and Communications Officer is sought to bolster this strategy, particularly in enhancing advocacy and visibility efforts across the ECOWAS region. Located in Abuja, Nigeria, the officer will develop and implement communications strategies, collaborating with the ECOWAS Commission, to drive progress on human capital indicators and foster stakeholder engagement.
