International Carbon Market Analyst

Objectives: The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), through the Africa Sustainable Finance Hub (ASFH), seeks to advance carbon market readiness and project pipeline development across Africa. This initiative supports African countries in leveraging carbon market opportunities, thus contributing to climate goals and sustainable development through Article 6 of the Paris Agreement. The individual consultant will provide technical analysis, manage projects, develop partnerships, and facilitate knowledge management across ASFH's carbon market portfolio in countries like Kenya, Zambia, and Cameroon. The focus is on capacity building, readiness framework development, and enhancing project pipeline progress in the energy sector to ensure an inclusive and equitable transition to low-carbon economies.
