IC-Develop the methodology and policy proposal on tagging biodiversity (MTSP)

Objectives: The tender seeks to engage a consultant to create a methodology and policy proposal for tagging biodiversity-related priorities in South Africa’s Medium Term Strategic Plan (MTSP). This involves aligning existing grants with biodiversity priorities by applying methodologies like the Climate Budget Tagging and working closely with the Department of Forestry, Fisheries, and the Environment (DFFE), as well as other stakeholders. The objective is to enhance biodiversity finance mobilization and ensure objectives are tagged and tracked within national and provincial budgets, thereby fostering better financial flows for biodiversity protection aligned with South Africa's public finance management processes.
