IC/2025/042 - Develop a policy briefing paper on sustainable heating

Objectives: The objective of the assignment is to develop a regulatory and policy briefing paper on sustainable heating solutions for detached houses in Mongolia. The project aims to assess the feasibility and effectiveness of various heating technologies such as electric heaters, heat pumps, solar PV, wind turbines, gas heating systems, and hybrid solutions. The study will evaluate these technologies' applicability under Mongolia's harsh winter conditions and address key factors like heat storage, energy efficiency, grid integration, and inclusive financing mechanisms. The outcomes will provide evidence-based policy recommendations to aid Mongolia's energy security, climate resilience, and sustainable development goals.
