Objectives: The project aims to improve the socio-economic situation and environmental integrity around Day Forest, a biodiversity hotspot in Djibouti, through direct support and capacity building at policy, ecological, and socio-economic levels. A five-year endeavor, it targets better management of protected terrestrial sub-systems and restoration of ecosystems by collaborative sustainable land management, alongside enhancing knowledge management, monitoring, and gender equality. Activities include formulating a comprehensive environmental and social management framework and assessing potential impacts through rigorous evaluations to align with both national and UNDP environmental standards.
