Avis a Manifestations d'Interets pour la Realisation de l'Etude d'Etat de Lieux et Mesures de Protection des Ecosystemes Dependants des Eaux Souterraines du Systeme Aquifere de la Partie Nord du Bassin Cotier

Objectives: The Mauritanian Ministry of Hydraulics and Sanitation, supported by the French Development Agency (AFD), calls for expressions of interest for a study aimed at updating hydrogeological knowledge and developing protective measures for ecosystems reliant on the aquifer system in the northern coastal basin region. The project includes components for updating aquifer knowledge, assessing ecosystem condition and protection need, crafting a coastal aquifer management strategy, and implementing protection measures. These efforts contribute to reducing socio-economic vulnerabilities, enhancing food security, and facilitating water resource access in agricultural and pastoral contexts.
