National Consultant for Strategic Planning and Project Development for Air Pollution Control in Iranian Megacities

Objectives: The tender aims to recruit a national consultant who will design a comprehensive national air pollution control strategy for Iran, focusing on enhancing capacity to address air pollution particularly in its megacities. The project's scope includes developing a national emission factor database, a smart national emission inventory system, and a laboratory for PM2.5 source apportionment, among other features. The initiative aligns with global best practices and models for air quality, with the expected outcome of integrating policy frameworks to prioritize air pollution control actions, based on environmental impact and cost-effectiveness. The consultant will ensure that the strategies and plans developed are in accordance with international standards and that they support the establishment of a strategic air quality management system in Iran.
