Objectives: The "Tawafoug" (Entente) project aims to promote socio-economic development and peaceful coexistence among host, refugee, and returnee populations in the Wilaya du Hodh Ech Chargui, Mauritania. Approved by the EU's Emergency Trust Fund for Africa in July 2024, it operates under an integrated territorial approach. The project focuses on developing local entrepreneurship, supporting economic initiatives, and creating community assets, particularly enhancing the local economy and human capital for youth and women. It seeks to identify key value chains as catalysts for entrepreneurship, fostering small business growth across diverse markets.
