Objectives: The initiative aims to develop an advanced, power-efficient, and linearised solid-state high-power amplifier specifically for Ku- or Ka-band satellite communications. This engineering model seeks to enhance current state-of-the-art technology by achieving a power-added efficiency improvement of at least 10% and a nominal output power increment of at least 3dB, ensuring that the amplifier operates closer to saturation while fulfilling linearity requirements. The amplifier models will integrate innovative concepts like load-modulated linearised systems and harmonic Injection Doherty power amplifiers, designed to operate over representative temperature ranges.
