RFT/2025/046, Appel D'offres: Activité de démonstration de terrain: Mise en place et encadrement d’une campagne de régulation des cerfs envahissants pour sécuriser les ressources en eau à Kouaoua Province Nord, Nouvelle-Calédonie

Objectives: The SPREP has launched a tender for carrying out a demonstration project aimed at controlling invasive deer populations in the high valley of Kouaoua, Nouvelle-Calédonie. The project seeks to significantly reduce the deer population on approximately 11,000 hectares, focusing efforts on about 4,000 hectares manageably. The initiative aims to mitigate ecological damage caused by deer, involving local hunters and regulatory agents in operations between April and October 2025, and fostering community involvement to restore ecosystems and protect forest soil and water resources.
