Objectives: The RESTOW project in the Solomon Islands aims to transform the towns of Noro, Munda, and Gizo into sustainable tourism destinations while protecting critical habitats for migratory birds. It includes projects to improve solid waste and sanitation management in these towns, enhancing urban spaces and supporting community-based tourism. The goal is to improve municipal services, preserve the natural environment, and generate local employment opportunities in the tourism sector. Objectives include establishing integrated waste management solutions, improving sanitation systems, supporting institutional strengthening and financial sustainability, enhancing urban spaces with cultural investments, and creating community-centered tourism opportunities.
