Specialized Technical Services for Social, Environmental, and Communication Support, Management, and Supervision

Objectives: The project, known as Rio Grande 2030, supported by the French Development Agency (AFD), focuses on sustainable urban mobility and development in the Municipality of Rio Grande, Brazil. Key objectives include enhancing municipal resilience to natural risks and climate change through the creation of green spaces and coastal erosion control mechanisms, developing a sustainable public transport system with a focus on active mobility and road restructuring, and strengthening local capabilities in sustainable urban development and project management. Envisioned to be carried out over five years, these initiatives aim to align local infrastructure development with international best practices.
