Objectives: The UNDP is seeking to strengthen the technical capabilities of Togo's Directorate General of Economic Studies and Analysis (DGEAE) through targeted training on integrating climate change impacts into macroeconomic frameworks. This involves enhancing staff understanding of climate change effects and their transmission channels within the economy, quantifying these impacts, and designing mechanisms for incorporating climate shocks into macroeconomic forecasting models. The training is a strategic component of the 2025-2027 Climate and Gender-Sensitive Governance Reform Strategy, aimed at equipping policymakers with tools to make informed economic decisions in the face of external shocks.
