1. The Government of the Republic of Kenya (GoK) has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of The Horn of Africa Groundwater for Resilience Project, Kenya. (HoAGW4RP), and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for KE-WAJIR-503204-CW-RFB-LOT 1

2. The County Government of Wajir - Wajir Water and Sewerage Company Limited (WAJWASCO) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Construction, Rehabilitation and Expansion of Groundwater – Based Rural Water Supply Schemes - Batch 1 Schemes (Abdigamey, Adamasejida, Athibohol, Barmish, Garse Qoftu, Hadado, and Noorgows) in Wajir County as detailed below:

  1. 16No Solar Photovoltaic Pumping (PVP) Systems.
  2. Supply and installation of 81.066 km of various HDPE Pipeline sizes ranging from OD 25mm to 170mm.
  3. Construction of separate community water points for livestock and domestic use.
  4. Construction/supply and installation of various sizes of Water Tanks.
  5. Ancillary Works -Construction of Administration buildings, Pump House Control rooms, guard houses and sanitation facilities.

3. Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016, revised in September 2023, 5th Edition (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

4. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from County Government of Wajir - Wajir Water and Sewerage Company Limited (WAJWASCO), Roble Ahmed Subow, info@wajirwater.co.ke and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0800 to 1700 hours local time from Monday to Friday, except public holidays. at the address given below. 5. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 19th September 2025 at 11:00am. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 19th September 2025 at 11:10am.

6. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of KES 7,000,000.00 for Lot 1 in the form of a bank guarantee or in a Bankers Check and shall be valid for 152 days.
