SC 118576 REG: Climate Funds Governance Specialist

Objectives: The Climate Investment Funds (CIF) have been developed by Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) to scale up assistance to developing countries in addressing climate change while enhancing knowledge in the development community. This consultancy supports the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to successfully implement its CIF and climate finance portfolio and scale up its climate operations by providing targeted support. The consultant will track, analyze, and provide strategic inputs on CIF-related policy matters, and support ADB's portfolio development. Key responsibilities involve enhancing the capacity of ADB's developing member countries to secure financing and exploring co-financing opportunities under new CIF programs. The consultant will engage with various departments and contribute technical and strategic inputs regarding sustainable finance, climate adaptation, and mitigation strategies. Further tasks include participation in international working groups and supporting ADB in positioning its projects and policies.
