Description

SPECIFIC PROCUREMENT NOTICE FOR CONSULTANCY SERVICES TO ASSESS AIR QUALITY CONCERNS CAUSED BY DUST AT MCA-N DESIGNED AND CONSTRUCTED INFRASTRUCTURES UNDER ITS 47 SCHOOLS ACTIVITY.

MCAN/COM/RCQ/1A01020

The Republic of Namibia signed a grant funding agreement, the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Namibia Compact, of US$304.5 million with the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), an Agency of the United States Government, to enable the Government of Namibia to implement the MCA Namibia Programme and achieve the objectives of the Compact.  MCA Namibia, a programme implementation unit of the National Planning Commission, will use a portion of the grant funding for the acquisition of Goods, Works, and Services.

The purpose of this Specific Procurement Notice (SPN) is to alert interested consulting firms that a Request for Consultants’ Qualifications (RCQ) for Consultancy Services to Assess Air Quality Concerns caused by Dust at MCA-N Designed and Constructed Infrastructures under its 47 Schools Activity will be posted on the MCA Namibia website www.mcanamibia.org on 30 September 2013.  Eligible consultants are encouraged to tender bids compliant with the above-mentioned RCQ to MCA Namibia.

The objective of this Request for Consultants’ Qualifications is to procure the services of an experienced Consultant to determine if the floors in the schools rehabilitated by MCA-N are generating and emitting a level of dust that represents an unacceptable health risk. The Consultancy services required in terms of the TOR must be completed within a period of 2 months from the Effective Date.

The detailed requirements towards bidders’ eligibility and qualification are contained in the RCQ.

Prospective Bidders interested in submitting a Bid should download the RCQ and submit an e-mail, giving full contact details to hshikongo@mcanamibia.org.

Bids responding to the above Request for Consultants’ Qualifications are to be submitted in sealed envelopes or by email no later than 13h00 on 18 October 2013 to the address indicated on this advert.
