The objectives of the Project are to: (a) support the Government of Nigeria towards rehabilitating and improving critical service delivery infrastructure, improve the livelihood opportunities of conflict and displacement - affected communities, and strengthen social cohesion in the North East Participat ing States of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa; and (b) in the event of an Eligible Crisis or Emergency, to provide immediate and effective response to said Eligible Crisis or Emergency. Approval completed on 20 March 2017. Environmental Assessment Category B. Project: P157891. US$ 200.0 (IDA Credit). Consultants will be required. Federal Ministry of Finance; State Governments of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.

The proposed Project Development Objective (PDO) is to “support the Government of Nigeria towards rehabilitating and improving critical service delivery infrastructure, improving the livelihood opportunities of conflict and displacement-affected communities, and strengthening social cohesion in the States of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.” The Project may also be able to provide immediate recovery support to the government in the event of a future eligible crisis or emergency through the Contingent Emergency Response Component. Negotiations authorized on 7 November 2016. Environmental Assessment Category B. Project: P157891. US$ 200.0 (IDA Credit). Consultants will be required. Federal Ministry of Finance; State Governments of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.
