Request for expression of interest for selection # 1228640
 
The overall objective is to improve the quality and effectiveness of joint flood and drought management and forecasting capacities in the SRB. This particular projects component aims at fostering cooperation among the countries which share the Sava RB through preparation of the Sava FRMP. Sava FRMP shall ensure a coordinated planning of measures and support the implementation of joint activities of the countries cooperating in SRB aimed at creating the conditions for sustainable flood protection in the basin. It would will define priority measures having in mind population, economic activities including infrastructure, environment and cultural heritage, in accordance with the EU water acquis. Sava FRMP shall ensure that the principle of solidarity and the no harm rule are taken into account, so that measures planned for the territory of one country may not, by their magnitude or impact, significantly increase the flood risk on the territory of another country

The World Bank Group intends to finance the assignment / services described below under the following:

ELIGIBILITY

INDIVIDUAL / FIRM PROFILE
The consultant will be a firm.
The Consultant will ensure that the appropriately qualified experts for each of the tasks described in Section 3 (scope of work for each activity) and the necessary equipment are available to complete the activities required under the scope of work and to achieve the overall and the specific objectives of this project in terms of time, costs, and quality (offer has to have Consultants description of specific methodology describing all the steps which will lead toward successful completion of all tasks). The offer should clearly state the personnel (name, expertise and number of working days) that will be allocated to each of the activities described in section 4 above.
The staffing should be consistent with the methodology (working plan) proposed in the contractors offer, and should include a core team (see 6.1.1. key experts) comprised of a team leader and three other key experts. It is expected that the project will be staffed with a combination of full time, part time and short-term experts. The core team will consist of senior experts supported by a subsidiary team consisting of senior and junior experts (full time, part time and short-term, international and locally in the region) which the Consultant can draw upon when needed.
The Consultant shall also identify expertise of supporting experts.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.

NOTES
Following this invitation for Expression of Interest, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding.

Only those firms which have been shortlisted will receive notification. No debrief will be provided to firms which have not been shortlisted.

1. Provide information showing that they are qualified in the field of the assignment.
2. Provide information on the technical and managerial capabilities of the firm.
3. Provide information on their core business and years in business.
4. Provide information on the qualifications of key staff.
