1. The Government of Zanzibar (GoZ) thorough Ministry of Finance and Planning has applied for additional credit (Additional Financing) from the World Bank toward the cost of       the Zanzibar Urban Services Project (ZUSP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the consulting services.

2. The consulting services (the services) include Feasibility Study, Planning, Detailed Engineering Design, Procurement Support and Contract Management/Construction Supervision for the Michenzani (Ng'ambo) Green Corridor Plan. The Consultant will carry out surveys, reviews of past activities, and prepare a feasibility study, environmental and social due diligence, and detailed engineering design; contract   packages; bidding documents; provide procurement support, and carry out contract management and construction supervision services. The assignment is expected to be carried out in six months from the date of contract signing.

3. The Ministry of Finance and Planning now invites eligible consulting firms (Consultant) to indicate their interests in providing the services. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The short listing criteria are at least 10 years experience in urban planning/redevelopment projects, successfully completed similar assignments in developing countries within the last 7 years and excellent team composition to perform the services.

4. Attention of interested consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Banks Borrowers, dated January 2011, revised July 2014, setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

5. Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture or a sub consultancy to enhance their qualifications.

6. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality and Cost based selection (QCBS) method set out in the consultant Guidelines.

8.
