Locations

North Korea

North Korea maintains limited and outdated infrastructure, with state-controlled development focused on energy, transport, and industrial facilities. International sanctions and restricted foreign investment significantly constrain large-scale modernization efforts. Infrastructure policy emphasizes self-reliance and strategic sectors, particularly heavy industry and defense-related facilities. Economic isolation and limited access to international finance remain primary obstacles to comprehensive infrastructure reform.
