UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) China invites you to submit a bid(s) for the items described in section 2 of this International Competitive Bidding. The items are required for use by UNFPA DPRK to ensure uninterrupted EmONC services in hospitals and clinics in the DPRK so as to reduce maternal mortality cases through ensuring availability and use of oxytocin for all deliveries, and that of magnesium sulphate for all pregnancy induced hypertension.
All bids are subject to the Short Notes to Bidders, Instructions to Bidders & Conditions and such other provisions and specifications as are attached or incorporated herein by reference (hereinafter collectively called “International Competitive Bidding” or “ICB”). Solicitation documents hereunder include:

Failure to adhere to the requirements of the ICB may be grounds for disqualification of the Bidder or, subsequently, the termination of an ensuing contract with prejudice to the supplier.
This letter is not to be construed in any way as an offer of contract. Your bid could, however, form the basis for a contract between your company and UNFPA. Bidders are encouraged to acknowledge receipt of this ICB by E-mail to the UNFPA contact person.
