The Ministry of Agriculture Development, Government of Nepal (GoN) has received financing from the International Development Association IDA (World Bank Group) towards the costs of the Project for Agriculture Commercialization and Trade (PACT), and intends to apply part of the proceeds for hiring of Laboratory Technical Expert
CONSULTANT QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERTISE REQUIRED
Lab Expert: Expert on Analytical Laboratory Equipment & Methods (used in veterinary labs, 2 months input)
The objective of the assignment is to assist the respective laboratories to identify the scope of accreditation, to check, understand and document the existing gaps to achieve such accreditation, and to propose a step by step road map leading to successful accreditation.
Such a road map which will describe the necessary technical details of needed improvements as well as the estimated time-frame and involved costs will enable the PACT project to prioritize any further support to those laboratories in the remaining time frame of the project. The road map will also serve the laboratories to seek, justify, and streamline any further funding from the Government of Nepal as well as from other development partners.
The Project now invites EOI from eligible interested and qualified Individuals to express their interest in providing the required services. Interested consultant must provide information, including testimonials of successful performance in similar assignments undertaken in the past, indicating that they are qualified to perform the services.
In addition to their CV, interested Consultants must include the following information in their EOI application, which shall be substantiated with relevant certificates or documents:
The Consultant will be recruited by the Project in accordance with the procedures for the selection of individual consultants as described in the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (May 2004, revised October 2006 and May 2010 and January 2011). The attention of interested consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank's Guidelines: Selection and Employment of setting forth the World Bank's policy on conflict of interest.

The Project reserves the right to accept/reject/cancel any EOI without assigning any reason, whatsoever.
