The United States Agency for International Development, Iraq (USAID/Iraq) intends to release Solicitation Number 72026719R00002, for a project titled "USAID/Iraq Durable Communities and Economic Opportunities". The purpose of the activity is to support vulnerable communities to build community resilience against destabilizing factors by increasing their adaptive capacity and economic well-being.
The RFP will be a performance based acquisition that will have a USAID Statement of Objectives focused on the following:
1. Increase the Adaptive Capacity of Vulnerable Communities by mitigating drivers of conflict in target communities and enhancing community leadership of inclusive local development and;
2. Advance the Economic Well-Being of Communities by increasing economic opportunities through improving private sector networks and increasing the development of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises USAID/Iraq contemplates award of a five-year, single-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.
The anticipated award date is o/a September 2019. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541990 (All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services).
This procurement will be conducted under full and open competition procedures, pursuant to Part 15 and Subpart 16.5 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) (48 CFR Chapter 1). The anticipated solicitation date is o/a March 2019 and the anticipated closing response date is o/a April 2019.

Additionally, due to internal approval processes, USAID/Iraq is not able to give a precise release date via this announcement or via later email.
