Description

Solicitation Number: 2006-Q-08784
Notice Type: Presolicitation
Synopsis: Added: July 12, 2006

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, Cincinnati, OH has a requirement to develop and implement methods to provide quantitative estimates of the distribution of internal particle doses. This provides information related to the variability and uncertainty in a human lung dosimetry model and may suggest approaches for reducing or better characterizing it. The findings from this study will be used to predict the distribution of internal doses associated with exposures to respirable particles, including nanoparticles, for risk assessment in workers. The solicitation package will define the complete requirement. A single award will be made from this solicitation. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less then $100,000. The entire scope of this work, requirements and evaluation factors will be addressed in the solicitation when issued. This procurement is being issued non-restricted. The NAICS code for this action is 541710. Request for Quotation (RFQ) 2006-Q-08784 will be issued on or after July 28, 2006, and quotes will be due by August 14, 2006. No telephone requests for the solicitation will be accepted. Organizations interested in responding may visit this web site on or after July 28, 2006, to download the solicitation at that time. If you cannot use electronic access, but are interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation you may address your inquiries to Kim Groves at CDC/PGO/AAFB/Morgantown, kpg0@cdc.gov. To be eligible for award, the successful offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (www.ccr.gov).
