The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announces its intention to negotiate a Firm-Fixed type contract,with Cost Reimbersable line items for travel. The purpose of this contract is to: (1) produce training and intervention materials as well as assessment tools, (2) provide training to HIV medical providers and support staff, case managers who specialize in retaining patients in care, and peer navigators who work with patients to help them navigate a complex medical system and help them adhere to clinic medical appointments, and (3) provide oversight of the intervention as delivered by medical providers/staff, retention specialists, and peer navigators. The contractor will be expected to collaborate with CDC investigators and principal investigators at six HIV clinics during all phases of the contract. The CDC anticipates a period of performance of 48 months. This is not a Request for Proposal. The intention of this notice is to notify potential offerors that Solicitation No. 2008-N-10455 will be available for download on the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov on or before August 1, 2008. In accordance with FAR 5.203, this requirement is considered a commercial aquisition, and may have a shorter period for issuance of the solicitation. The Competition of this requirement is limited to Small Businesses. The NAICS Code for this procurment is 541690, and the small business size stadard is $6.5 million. Additionally, all amendments and responses to questions will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date. All questions must be submitted in writing to Sharon Cunningham at cux0@cdc.gov.
