RFP 20-005 - Preferred Providers services to support the work of SPC Fisheries, Aquaculture and Marine Ecosystems Division in the Pacific Islands region - Part 2
The Pacific Community is looking for preferred providers to provide services to support the work of SPC Fisheries, Aquaculture and Marine Ecosystems Division in the Pacific Islands region:
- Coastal fisheries and aquaculture legislation
- Coastal fisheries and aquaculture monitoring, control, surveillance and enforcement (MCS&E)
- Coastal fisheries and aquaculture policies and management plans
- Community-based fisheries management
- Sustainable livelihoods, fisheries development, post-harvest and value-adding
- Coastal fisheries and aquaculture sector reviews and assessments
- Fisheries and aquaculture economic assessments and evaluations and feasibility studies
- Development of seaweed aquaculture in the Pacific
- Business skills, business literacy training and business mentoring in aquaculture
- Fish feed formulation
- Technical support in aquaculture product development and value-adding
- Technical support for giant clam culture

SPC - Secretariat of the Pacific Community - (sometimes called the Pacific Community) is a regional intergovernmental organisation whose membership includes both nations and territories in the Pacific Ocean and their metropolitan powers. It aims to "develop the technical, professional, scientific, research, planning and management capability of Pacific Island people and directly provide information and advice, to enable them to make informed decisions about their future development and well-being." The SPC headquarters is in Nouméa, New Caledonia.
Supports initiatives that assess performance, measure results, and improve the effectiveness and accountability of projects and programs.
Encompasses the harvesting, farming, and management of fish and other aquatic organisms for commercial, subsistence, or conservation purposes.
