Description
UNESCO is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to support the implementation of the ‘Supporting the Post-Disaster Recovery of the Bagan Archaeological Area and Monuments through the Preservation and Digitization of the Bagan Photographic Archive’ project, being undertaken by UNESCO in close cooperation with the Department of Archaeology (DoA), Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, Myanmar.
The contractor will be expected to support the DoA to digitise approximately 6000 glass plate negatives in situ at the DoA Yangon Office. The contractor will be required to work with the DoA staff and UNESCO experts to capture the clearest, highest quality image possible of the DoA’s glass plate negative collection, whilst using a workflow that keeps the negatives as safe as possible.
