Description

Overview : Suppliers are hereby invited to submit their Expressions of Interest to be short listed in relation to the upcoming Invitation To Bid (ITB) for the supply of Voter Registration mobile kits (camera, printer and solar power supply) to the Republic of Liberia.  Within the framework of its Democratic Governance’s Practice Area, UNDP through its Country Offices assists Electoral Management Bodies (EMBs) in developing countries with the planning and implementation of National and Local Elections. UNDP/PSO supports UNDP Country Offices in procurement processes for a variety of Electoral-related Goods and Services.  In this context, UNDP/PSO has been requested by UNDP Liberia to undertake on its behalf the procurement of voter registration kits as described in the Scope of EOI Section.  In addition to the upcoming tender to supply UNDP Liberia with the requested kits, UNDP PSO will use the resulting shortlist of Suppliers from this exercise for future projects involving similar voter registration equipment and technology level (not digital or biometric registration kits).  For more information please read the attached document: "Call for EOI and Shortlisting Exercise UNDP PSO 290315".

About the Funding Agency

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), as it is known in English, operates in about 170 countries and territories with the goal of achieving the eradication of poverty and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion. The UNDP also helps countries to develop policies, leadership skills, partnering abilities, institutional capabilities and build resilience in order to sustain development results.

UNDP focuses on helping countries build and share solutions in three main areas: sustainable development, democratic governance and peacebuilding, and climate and natural disaster resilience.

The annual Human Development Report, commissioned by the  UNDP, focuses the global debate on key development issues, providing new measurement tools, innovative analysis and often controversial policy proposals. The global Report's analytical framework and inclusive approach carry over into regional, national and local Human Development Reports, also supported by the UNDP.
