Description
USAID/Central Asia intends to modify the Contract No. 7200AA18C00079 with DAI to extend the period of performance by twelve months and increase the total estimated cost (TEC) by $2.1 million.

Under this proposed extension, the Contractor will explore the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) research findings and their implications for relevant CVE programming in four countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan).  The Contractor will look at new areas for programming relevant to research findings, scale up existing pilot programming that has been successful, and test successful pilots in other countries of performance. With time and funding for an increased number of pilot activities, local capacity to implement CVE programming in the region will be further strengthened.  Additionally, opportunities for greater regional CVE linkages and regional leadership, both priorities of the mission, will be further examined.
