Description
The IAEA requires a HPGe System for its counterpart, Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP), Lima (Peru). The System shall be suitable for education and training and for determining the concentration of environmental radionuclides occurring in soil and sediments, mainly the fallout radionuclides (FRN) such as Cs-137, Pb-210 and Be-7 (background FRN concentrations) for estimating soil erosion/sedimentation rates and developing soil conservation strategies.
