REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

The Government of Nepal has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the REDD+ Readiness Preparation Support Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the following consulting services (“the Services”):

Preparation of sustainable forest management plan for community forests (Ref No.: NP-REDD-182575-CS-QCBS).
Baseline survey for FIP - Forests for Prosperity Project (Ref No.: NP-REDD-182272-CS-QCBS).
Study of emissions due to forest fire, grazing, fuelwood collection, and timber harvesting and removals from sustainable management of forests and forest restoration, and prepare Nepal’s revised forest reference level (Ref No.: NP-REDD-192676-CS-QCBS).
The REDD Implementation Center now invites national eligible consulting firms (“Consultants”) to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested eligible consultants may obtain further information and EOI document at e-GP system (www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp) and at www.redd.gov.np. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services. The shortlisting criteria are: qualification 40%, experience 50%, and capacity 10% of the consulting firm and key experts.

The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to paragraph 1.9 of the World Bank’s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011, revised in July 2014 (“Consultant Guidelines”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

Consultants may associate with other firms in the form of a joint venture to enhance their qualifications. A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the QCBS method set out in the Consultants Guidelines.

Expressions of interest shall be delivered online through e-GP system www.bolpatra.gov.np/egp on or before 1200 hours on Tuesday 29 September 2020.
