  1. The Government of the Republic of Uganda has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Uganda Skills Development Project (USDP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds towards payments under the contract for the SUPPLY, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION,TRAINING OF USERS AND COMMISSIONING OF WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES FOR UGANDA TECHNICAL COLLEGE KICHWMBA

 

  1. The Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the SUPPLY, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION,TRAINING OF USERS AND COMMISSIONING OF WORKSHOP EQUIPMENT  AND ACCESSORIES FOR UGANDA TECHNICAL COLLEGE KICHWMBA IN FOUR LOTS AS FOLLOWS;

LOT 1:            SUPPLY OF PLUMBING AND FITTING EQUIPMENT

 

LOT 2:            SUPPLY OF WELDING AND FABRICATION EQUIPMENT

 

LOT3:              SUPPLY OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION EQUIPMENT

 

LOT4:             CONSUMABLES, HEALTH, SAFETY AND DRAWING ROOM EQUIPMENT

 

The delivery period is 20 weeks. A margin of preference shall apply       

Bidders may bid for one or several contracts as further defined in the bidding document.  Bidders wishing to offer discounts will be allowed to do so provided those discounts are included in the Letter of Bid.”      

3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding (1CB)

procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods,   Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers January 2011 revised  July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

 

  1. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Education and Sports , Head Procurement and Disposal Unit at the email address below  and inspect the bidding documents during office hours (0900 to 1700 hours) Monday to Friday at the address given below
  1. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the email address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX. 100,000= (Uganda Shillings one hundred thousand only) or US$ 30. The method of payment will be through Bank Payment Advise Forms which can be obtained online at www.education.go.ug.The document will be availed on presentation of proof of payment and a written application to the address below

Pre-bid meeting will be held via zoom on  9/11/ 2020 at 11:00am.

  1. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 10/12 2020 at 10:00am. Electronic bidding will be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 10/12/ 2020 at 10:30am
