Description

The People´s Republic of China has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) in the amount of US$ 60 million equivalent toward the cost of Yunnan Urban Environment Project Phase II - Additional Financing, and intends to apply part of the proceeds to eligible payments under the Project for the services (ZT4.1) of project management, contract supervision, and capacity building for operation & management of water supply and wastewater facilities and river management. The services include detailed design review advisory, procurement management, contract supervision and management, and operation & management assistance to water supply and wastewater facilities and river management under the Project, to support the implementing agencies to implement their project components and operate and manage the newly developed facilities successfully through providing consulting services, training and capacity building. The implementation period of the consulting services is expected to last up to six years from the date of loan effectiveness. The Zhaoyang District Foreign Fund Application Office (as the representative of implementing agencies) now invites eligible consultants to express their interest in providing the services above. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services, such as brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. Reference in Chinese translated version is encouraged. A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank´s Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers, May 2004 and revised October 2006.
