The Forest and Hunting Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Forest Protection and Reforestation Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds for services under Contract CS/FS-47 for arranging international study tours in the area of forestry, forest management, fire control and nursery business.
A consulting firm is expected to establish partnership with specialized training and advanced education centers (universities, forest management and fire control bodies and institutions, etc.) to arrange study tours for the staff of the Forestry and Hunting Committee of Kazakhstan. Services are mainly of logistical nature, and the Contract is expected to be signed for years 2011-2013.
Main qualification requirements:
- A firm with an experience in organizing international study tours and trainings.
- Good working relations and experience with embassies, travel agencies, and other concerned agencies
- Qualified personnel, including professional translators/interpreters with good knowledge of forestry terminology
The Forest and Hunting Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, work experience and description of similar assignments, availability of the qualified staff, references, information on available connections with the specialized training centers of probations and advanced training). Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the World Bank’sGuidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by World Bank Borrowers (edition dated May, 2004) through a Least Cost Selection method.
